Darvaza gaseous crater
The gaseous Darvaza Crater, also known as 'Hell's Gate', is a crater that originated from the collapse of a natural gas cavern located in Darvaza, Turkmenistan. Geologists intentionally set it on fire to prevent the spread of methane gas, and it is assumed to have been burning non-stop since 1971. The crater is a popular tourist attraction. The surrounding area is also famous for wild desert camping.

These boulders are grey-coloured sectarian concretions that were exhumed from the mudstone and rock substrate that enclosed them and concentrated on the beach by coastal erosion. Especially in recent years, the boulders have been a popular tourist attraction.
