Tower Ještěd - Czech Republic
Located on top of Mount Ještěd near Liberec in Czech Republic, the Ještěd tower is an imposing 94-meter-high structure built entirely of reinforced concrete shaped like a hyperboloid. This shape was chosen to naturally extend the contour of the hill and withstand the extreme weather conditions of the area. The tower houses a hotel and restaurant, located in the lower section, and a television transmitter. To reach the tower one can take the cable car or take a scenic hike, but the view from the top repays any effort.
