Colosseum
One of the mandatory stops when going to Rome is the Colosseum, one of the iconic monuments of the Italian capital.

Arch of Costantine
Next to the Colosseum you can also see the arch of Costantine, a triumphal arch.

Imperial Fora
Walking down Via dei Fori Imperiali from the Colosseum, one arrives at the Imperial Fora, a large archaeological area in the heart of Rome. One of the most important stops on a tour of the capital.

Capitol
Past the Imperial Fora and the Vittoriano complex, you can visit the Capitol Hill, with its splendid square. Also known as Monte Capitolino, it is the smallest hill on which Rome was founded.

Marco Aurelio equestrian statue 
In the Capitol there is a copy of the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius. The original is kept inside the Palazzo dei Conservatori.

Marcello theater
Not far from the Capitol you can visit the Marcello theater, theater of ancient Rome still partially preserved.

Piazza del Popolo 
One of Rome's historic squares is Piazza del Popolo. Easily reached by subway, it is among the most famous and visited squares in the capital.

Obelisk of Minerva
In Piazza della Minerva, not far from the Pantheon, you can find a gem: the obelisk of Minerva, one of the nine Egyptian obelisks in the capital. The obelisk stands on the rump of a marble elephant, sculpted by Ercole Ferrata to a design by Bernini.

Piazza di Spagna 
An absolute must-see place in Rome is the legendary and beautiful Piazza di Spagna, with the staircase of Trinità dei Monti.

Fountain of the Barcaccia
Piazza di Spagna is also home to one of Rome's iconic fountains, Barcaccia. Tourists from all over the world come to admire and photograph it.
