Greece is a perfect summer destination, consisting of a multitude of remote islands in the Aegean Sea beloved by tourists from all over the world and perfectly capable of accommodating the needs of both those seeking a romantic vacation for couples and those looking for the perfect family vacation.
Greek islands are generally cheap and still authentic. It is not easy to choose the absolute best ones, but we have tried.
Here are the Greek islands that are in our opinion the most beautiful to plan your next vacation among crystal clear sea, beautiful beaches and typical Greek food.

Naxos

Naxos is one of the most beautiful Greek islands for its emerald-colored sea. We recommend stopping at the beaches of Lionasad, Hawai beach or that of Agios Georgos, choose one of the two sand bars and enjoy the breathtaking views!

Santorini is a Greek island in the southern part of the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea. Together with the four islets, they form the archipelago and municipality of Santorini. The island of Santorini offers breathtaking views and beautiful sunsets. It is a paradise for lovers and a perfect place to hold weddings.

Zakynthos

Zakynthos is an island in the western part of Greece. It is located in the Ionian Sea in the region of the Ionian Islands. This island is known because loggerhead sea turtles can be seen in the sea around and sometimes on the beaches. The loggerhead sea turtle is one of three species of turtles still found in the Mediterranean Sea and can be seen in Zakynthos because it lays its eggs on the beaches of the Gulf of Laganas.

Milos

Milos is a Greek volcanic island in the Aegean Sea, north of Crete, the most southwestern island in the Cyclades archipelago. The island has an area of 150.6 sq. km. Milos is touristic and friendly but can also be rough, sandy and offers deserted beaches, even in August.

An ideal destination for families. Crete is the largest Greek island and overall the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. According to ancient Greek myths, Crete is considered the birthplace of Zeus, the ruler of the Olympian gods.

Lefkada (Lefkas)

Known as the Ionian Caribbean with its clear beaches and crystal clear sea. Lefkada straddles the two Greek islands in the Ionian Sea, Corfu and Kefalonia, and is connected to the Greek mainland by a movable bridge about 50 meters long.

Mykonos is an island in the Greek Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea, located southeast of the island of Tinos, north of the islands of Paros and Naxos and east of the island of Syros. Known for its nightlife, it is a popular destination especially for young people.
