It's going to be a 2023 of festivals, travel and events: here are some tips to make sure you don't go wrong

It may be the impetus of the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, but people are desperate to move, to move and to live. After a very difficult time from a health and personal point of view, now leisure and fun are needed, and 2023 may finally be the year.

Tallinn - Estonia
Tallin will be Green Capital of Europe for 2023. Commitment to green spaces, free public transport and circular economy are the parameters followed each year by an independent jury to confer this award, which offers the nominated cities a great opportunity for tourism. Tallinn, in addition to having a historic center dating back to the Middle Ages and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has at its disposal a large network of green spaces, parks and public gardens covering nearly 30 percent of the city.

Seville - Spain
Seville is the European Capital of Smart Tourism. Along with Porto (Portugal), Zagreb (Croatia), Aarhus (Denmark) and Pafos (Cyprus), the Andalusian city came out on top in the four categories considered: accessibility, sustainability, digitization and commitment to heritage and creativity. The city will use this nomination to organize many events and happenings throughout the calendar year.

La Valletta - Malta
Malta was recently voted "Best LGBTQ+ Destination in Europe" according to the ILGA-Europe Rainbow Map index . Highlights will be the Pride March on Sept. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. and the EuroPride 2023 concert with many artists.

Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Do you like great soccer? Dubai will be the perfect destination, as a huge theme park entirely dedicated to Real Madrid will open in 2023 . The park, sponsored by Dubai Parks and Resorts, will be named "Hala Madrid!" and inside there will be a museum, roller coasters and even football skill games. It will be the first theme park of its kind in the world.

Riga - Latvia
This year the Latvian Dance and Singing Festival takes place, representing the true Latvian identity. It is held once every five years and attracts thousands of tourists to the country. The event reaches its climax in a wonderful closing concert on the open-air stage at Mežaparks. This festival is included in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.

Berlin - Germany
There will also be many events and happenings around the world in this 2023. For example, three new museums will open in Berlin: the Samurai Museum (the first in Europe dedicated to samurai art), the Museum of the 20th Century (dedicated exclusively to contemporary art, which will be completed in 2026), and the Sculpture Garden (displayed in the outer parts of the new National Gallery). Then, for example, Buenos Aires will host the specialized Expo of BIE member states on the theme "Science, Innovation, Art and Creativity for Human Development." Also, still in Europe, Lisbon's Alfama neighborhood will host the Santa Casa Festival Alfama, considered an Intangible Heritage of Humanity
