According to historical sources, its construction took several centuries, as well as the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers, mostly slaves.
Moreover, according to modern measurements, there is no certainty about the exact length of the Wall, which should be around 8850 km (of which about 350 km of trenches and about 2250 km of natural defences) according to the most up-to-date estimates. Considering all the ramifications, however, the length increases greatly.
Discovered not long ago, according to local media reports, the ice cave in Penba County, Tibet Autonomous Region, is an arch-shaped cave about 165 metres long, 26 metres wide and 15 metres high. It is currently the largest cave in Tibet.
The ice cave is accessible from both ends and reminds many visitors of a crystal palace, especially when the sunlight transforms the atmosphere inside into a dreamlike place. The central part of the cave appears rather dark, which is why visitors are advised to bring a torch.
The ice cave is located about six kilometres from the village of Phayum, an area that includes snow-capped mountains and glaciers.

Entirely renovated at the beginning of the 20th century by the great architect Antoni Gaudi, it is located at number 43 Passeig de Gràcia and is considered one of the architect's most original creations. Since 2005, the house has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Since the 1990s, the building has been in the hands of its current owners, the Bernat family, who have completely reformed it.
It is one of the most famous monuments in Italy and the world, but its history is not known to everyone. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the bell tower of the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in the famous Piazza del Duomo (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987).
A characteristic mark of this tower is the fact that it slopes to one side in a very visible, unique and special way. The reasons for its slope date back to the time of its construction, and its safety and stability has been ensured through years of interventions, restoration and maintenance.
Precisely because of this peculiarity, it is a destination visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.

India is trying to give a new impetus to its domestic tourism, trying to offer tourists as many alternatives as possible to convince them to stay for a longer period of time within the country. For this very reason, the tourism bureau is moving in the direction of ghost walks, i.e. organised excursions to haunted, ghostly sites or places where violent crimes have been committed.
The initiative started with the walk to Malcha Mahal in Chanakyapuri, where a woman committed suicide by ingesting diamond fragments in 1993. The delay in the funeral services, it is said, caused the woman's spirit to start haunting the place where she had lived since 1985 with her children.
This is just one of the destinations that the Indian tourist office plans to offer in the coming period.

On 15 April 2019, a tremendous fire destroyed the roof and spire of Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the most iconic monuments not only of Paris but of the entire world. Work began immediately, which took two years just to secure the structure.
After this first phase, 1,000 craftsmen and masters from all over France got busy and even now are working to restore the church to its former and identical splendour. The work was also financed through numerous public donations.
The French President Macron hoped for a reopening by the start of the Paris 2024 Olympics, but this will not be possible. In fact, it has been officially announced that the religious services, and in general the reopening of the cathedral to the public, will be in December 2024. Penultimate Easter without mass, then, in perhaps the most famous cathedral in the world.

Today's journey takes us to India, to the University of Nalanda, what can to all intents and purposes be considered the oldest university in the world, founded a good five centuries before the oldest European universities, namely Bologna and Oxford.
Founded in 427, some think that it was in this faculty that the zero was first introduced as a numeral, but that is not the only reason why the university was revolutionary. It was a real campus, with over 10,000 students and over nine million books in its library.
Today, only the archaeological ruins, a Unesco heritage site, remain as a reminder of this marvel that was once a great university, and which also made a great contribution to Buddhist studies over the centuries.

The Big Branch Community Project is an idea that combines design and land enhancement. In 2010, the former designer of cars Chris Bangle left BMW and moved to Italy, to Langhe, where he built the first giant bench, red in color, two meters high and four meters wide.
Since then, this project was born, which allows everyone to make their own giant bench, anywhere, as long as it meets all the guidelines imposed by the vision of Bangle. For example, they must be accessible h24, be in isolated locations and built without public funds.
There are currently 283 benches in the world, and 56 more are already under construction. In addition to creating a design in harmony with nature, the construction of these benches promotes local tourism and support local excellence. Most of these benches are located in Italy, but they are slowly expanding to other places in Europe.

American culture and filmography has filled our heads with the image of the great U.S. expanses, including Rocky Mountains and desolate places, cut in half by Route 66, the highway that, since the 1920s, has accompanied the American dream.
From Steinbeck to Hunter Thompson, many are the writers and others who have extolled this symbol of American-ness, crucial to the great migration of people from the Northeast to California at the time of the Great Depression.
Now disused due to the proliferation of major highways (desired by Eisenhower after World War II), it remains passable in long stretches because of the historical value it represents. It remains a road of dreams, often broken, of suffering and suggestion, of literature and harsh, stark reality. This is our tribute.
One of the rarest and most striking natural spectacles on the entire planet is undoubtedly the Geyser, or powerful jets of steam and hot water that shoot upward at very high pressure, often generating wonder and amazement in the eyes of the beholder.
The home of these phenomena is undoubtedly Iceland, a restless land of volcanoes, but also in America, South America and Asia one can find some truly fascinating ones, often in places where there are also wonderful natural hot springs, which often contrast with the aridity of the surrounding area.
Without claiming to give travel advice, we would like to show you some of the most beautiful Geysers in the world, along with a few pictures of the natural springs found nearby.
